Aurics Quest is a Nelson Marek 46 and is a true IRC 1 race boat that Sailescapes have brought from Australia where she raced very successfully in many regattas including winning the 2002 Sydney Hobart regatta
Built from GRP, Kevlar and Carbon Fibre Aurics Quest is a very light yacht with most of the weight on the 3 metre keel, this along with a choice of 9 Evolution headsails, 3 Evolution main sails and 9 spinnakers gives you all the options for truly stunning performance in all conditions.
The deck is superbly equipped with Harken 2 x ST560 3 speed Primary Winches( Pedestal), 2 x 48 ST 2 speed Harken Mainsail winches, 2 x 53ST 2 speed Harken Backstay winches, Coach roof Winches Harken 2 x 48ST 2 speed. A Carbon Pedestal drives the primary winches. Harken genoa tracks and Mainsheet traveller. Twin foil genoa tracks. Mechanical Vang with gas strut. The fractional rig is just as impressive with 2 Spreaders. Carbon mast and boom. Rod & Composite backstay Rigging. aluminium Spreaders and a Carbon spinnaker pole.
Aurics Quest has full race and wind electronics at both the companionway and at the mast, she is also equipped with full safety gear including 2 EPIRB and has B+G touchscreen GPS
