Scorpion is a modern fast cruising catamaran. Designed by Tony Grainger and built from composite materials by Asia Catamarans in 2011. Scorpion is a great example of the newest trends in the next generation of fast cruising catamarans.
Scorpion is also available for the cruising class in local regattas such as the Kings Cup , Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket Race Week , the Bay regatta and the Langkawi regatta
A wide beam makes Scorpion very stable and spacious and her shallow draft of only 0.6 metres allows close approach to Phuket’s famous Islands and beaches. All her lines run aft to the cockpit which has fully removable awnings to ensure good shade if you feel the need to escape the sun and eat Al Fresco. As well as full galley facilities Scorpion has a BBQ fitted to the cockpit area so you can cook the day’s fish catch whilst at its freshest.
The modern design continues below with a large enclosed cabin area which is fully ventilated to allow cool breezes to fill the accommodation which has very good headroom of 2.1 metres. Scorpion sleeps 8 and has 3 good sized queen cabins and 2 single cabins again with hatches to allow cool night air to flow through assisted by fans in all cabins.
