The Bay Regatta

The Bay Regatta is held over the 5th February – 9th February for 2020 and is now in its 23rd season and is an established regatta run by the Phuket Yacht Club.

Also known as 'The Fun Regatta' The Bay regatta does not follow the same formula as most regattas as it is a series of passage races from One Island to another. Race day 1 departs Ao Po Marina to Koh an Island in Phang Nga Bay, then onto the Krabi Area, Phi Phi Islands where there is usually an around the Island race and then the final race from Phi Phi to Chalong Bay and the welcome sight of the Phuket Yacht Club.

The Bay Regatta usually attracts a mixed fleet of some 40+ yachts with the sailing some of the most stunning and picture perfect of landscapes that are the limestone cliffs of Phang Nga Bay, Krabi and Phi Phi Islands.

As with any island hopping races, the evenings are usually spent either sleeping on board for those with cruising yachts or you can choose to stay at the resorts on the Islands the regatta stops at.
